FASHION WEDDING IN HUNGARY
Our wedding was held on a beautiful sunny day on June 2023. Prior our Big Day, heavy storms hit Hungary and we were kind of accepting the fact that we may need to hold our wedding inside the venue which obviously wasn't our plan. Luckily we woke up to beautiful weather, not too warm nor cold.
THE VENUE:
The wedding was held at Pálmaház, in Tata, which is around 40 minutes drive away from the capital, Budapest. We carefully choose this location as we wanted to celebrate our big day close to Budapest. In addition, we wanted to choose a location which had the option for holding the event both inside and outside. As an interior designer, it was my intention to choose a venue which is beautiful inside and out and can be easily decorated. Me and my mom saw a lot of potential in the venue and with a bit of creativity and with some rented furniture we could turn the place into something I've always dreamed of.
THE BRIDAL DRESS:
My dress was individually designed by Anita Benes, the owner of Daalarna.
I wanted to have an elegant classical look with an unordinary twist. I always knew that due to my figure I wanted an A shaped dress which covers my wider hips while putting an emphasis on my shoulders with an unusual, off shoulder puff-sleeves.
To make the dress more romantic, we made a side slit to show my legs while walking down the aisle. Both my veil and my train were extremely long. As the dress was quite heavy, I asked for a petticoat (underskirt) to make it more comfortable and give the dress fullness. It was the best decision as it could hold the dress' weight and although dresses made from Mikado material can get easily creased with my petticoat my dress could stay quite smooth. After the ceremony I had 2 other party dresses but I only changed once into my beloved pink Aje dress. A bit clarification for the pink dress. In Hungary we have a tradition that after midnight the bride switches her white dress to a red dress as this is when the bride becomes a new woman. I don't like red on me, this is why I chose to have a pink dress instead.
THE GROOM DRESS:
My husband also got an individually designed tuxedo for the big day by Stan Ahuja.
PHOTOGRAPHERS & VIDEOGRAPHERS:
Due to the rainy days before our wedding day, we were unable to have wedding pictures at certain locations which we selected before as there were puddles everywhere. Therefore I asked our photographers: Ammonite stories and Greta Gerencser, as well as our videographer, Closer Wedding Studio to only capture live moments without staging anything.
WEDDING DECORATION:
Our florists, Ágas Bogas virágműhely did an amazing job and even exceeded our expectations. The flowers were beautiful as well as the setting! We went for an elegant green and white look. My mom and I designed the seating chart which was carried our by our own carpenter.
